Editor-in-Chief

Sydney Keenan is a Junior at EMU studying professional writing, communications, and psychology. This is her third year with Cellar Roots, and she is excited to work towards making the magazine the best it can be. In her free time, she enjoys mentoring, outdoor activity, and reading a good sci-fi book.

Assistant Editor / Advisor

Lauren Ahern is a graduate student at Eastern Michigan University studying communication.  This is her fifth year with Cellar Roots and she couldn’t be more excited to continue growing this magazine.  In her free time she rows for the rowing team, reads books, hangs out with friends and travels when she can.

Layout and Design Team Lead

Kelsea Pearson is a Senior at Eastern Michigan University striving for a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. This is her second year with Cellar Roots and is itching to present another amazing design towards this year’s issue. In her free time, she enjoys reading a high fantasy or romance novel, playing guitar or piano, and consuming art.

Copy Editor / Editing Team Lead

Piper Coe is a sophomore at EMU majoring in Children’s and Young Adult Literature with a focus on Publishing and minoring in Creative Writing. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and crocheting. In the future, she hopes to work in the publishing industry as an editor and children’s book author. 

Layout & Design Editor

Raushanah Davenport – Brown is a senior from Rochester Hills, MI. For her studies, she is a B.F.A student with a concentration in Graphic Design. Some of her interests include photography, creative writing, watching films, discovering new music finds, and personal wellness. Beyond EMU, she hopes to continue a career in the design industry either in publication or branding. A few other things she would like to do is go on a spiritual wellness retreat after graduation, travel to Ireland, Italy, and Alaska, and plans to move to Seattle, WA.

Poetry Editor

Jasmine Scroggins is a junior at Eastern Michigan University. She is majoring in English with a Creative Writing concentration and minoring in Marketing. Her interests include writing poetry, painting, playing guitar and hiking. She plans to continue her education after graduating by pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing to prepare for a writing based career.

Fiction Editor

Isabelle Raudszus is an English major with a planned concentration in literature and a minor in creative writing. She joined Cellar Roots because she loves working in creative spaces with other creative people. She wants to contribute to giving people the chance to tell their story and express themselves, and she believes Cellar Roots is the perfect place to do that.

Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

Sarah Schneider is a Junior at Eastern Michigan University majoring in Business Marketing. This is her first year working with Cellar Roots. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family, playing with family dogs because she really wants one of her own, group fitness classes, watching tv shows, movies, or sports, listening to music, and traveling.
